DECRYPTION CONTEST
Looking for an escape, some intrigue, a mystery? How about a code to break?
This is a A Vigenère cipher. A Vigenère cipher is a method of encrypting text using a series of different Caesar ciphers based on the letters of a keyword. It is a type of polyalphabetic substitution cipher and was invented by Giovan Battista Bellaso in the 16th century, though it is often attributed to Blaise de Vigenère.
The first cryptanalyst to decrypt the cipher below (and found in pages of Silent Key) will receive a set of painted edge editions of both Trace Element + Silent Key, AND the lucky cryptanalyst(s) who decodes the message will also receive a copy of the conclusion of the trilogy, First Plasma. First Plasma is written in the form of a screenplay.
To round out this challenge, I’ll also be giving away free audiobook downloads of Trace Element from Audible. A sexy Scottish woman narrates it, so there’s that.
Here’s how it works:
1) Solve the riddle, also found in Silent Key.
2) Use the riddle’s keyword to decrypt the Vigenère cipher.
3) Contact me through the rwbellnovels.com contact form or email me the decrypted message at [email protected].
I’ll mail (or otherwise deliver) the books to the person with the first correct solution that pops up in my inbox! Audiobook recipients will get a free download code to use on Audible from me.
